Electronics is the branch of study that has revolutionized the lifestyle of humanity. It is a pace setter and a prime mover behind the transition to a technological society. The field of Electronics and Communication Engineering encompasses all areas of human life. Radio, television, telephones, computers, automobiles, office machinery and house-hold appliances, life saving medical equipment and space vehicles represent a mere sample in the wide spectrum of the applications of Electronics. In the age of satellite transmitted television and transcontinental computer networks, the challenge and opportunities in this profession continue to mushroom. Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates have unlimited opportunities in the field of terrestrial and extraterrestrial communication systems like telephones, cellular phones, television, optical fiber communication, consumer and entertainment devices. ECE department has following labs:
This lab is used to conduct the experiments related to Digital Circuits and Logic Design, which ranges from the study of various logic gates to the design of various sequential and combinational circuits. This lab is equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Digital IC trainer kits, multiple power supplies etc. Students from various departments use this lab for performing various digital experiments.
This lab is used by the students to conduct practical pertaining to Wireless communications including study of modulation and de-modulation techniques, transmitters and receivers, analog and digital communication methodologies etc. Latest equipment like high bandwidth Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, multiple power supplies etc. are available in the lab besides training kits for studying the various communication techniques. This laboratory provides the students an opportunity to work on communication area.
Microwave systems have made a great impact on our society with the rapid increase of various consumer products. Microwave and RF Laboratory is motivated to progress towards the design and analysis of microwave circuits, components and sub-systems. Microwave antennas, dipole antennas, phase shifters, filters, Spectrum AnalyserOptical Fiber Educational kit are some such components.
This lab is equipped with all the equipments for doing Software and hardware experiments .This lab is equipped with PCs, DSP trainer kits, softwares like PYTHON,VERILOG etc. This lab is utilized for mini project, main project of EC department as well as other departments. The lab is equipped with all the softwares and hardwares to do the projects.
Basic Electronics lab is equipped with CROs , Function Generators from , Dual DC Power Supplies from , IC Tester, Output meter, Voltmeters, Ammeters, Analog and Digital Multimeters, Rheostat and components including transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors,OPAMS etc. Students use this lab for performing analog circuits experiments.
Electronics engineering workshop is equipped with 12 digital storage oscilloscope from Keysight, 12 function generator from Scientech and 15 dual power supply from Scientech. Department libraries are often focused on specialized fields of study and serve the needs of students, faculty, and researchers within the department. Department library consists of a section for dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and other reference tools for quick information. Our Department Library plays a vital role in supporting the academic, research, and learning needs of both students and faculty members within a specific department. Almost 500 books are now available in our department library. Students can refer previous project and seminar records ECE Department kept Separate Issue register for students and faculty. Our department library consists of objective type book for improving students Aptitude Test efficiency.
