Vision of the Department

To impart technical knowledge of Computer Applications to enable the graduates to meet the society needs/challenges

Mission of the Department 

  1. To impart quality education that provides design, development of software applications
  2. To bridge the gap between industry and academia by framing curriculum and syllabus based on industrial and societal needs
  3. To make the students achieve their career goals in the software industry or pursue higher studies and enhance their professional knowledge.

Our graduates will:

PEO 1: Excel in professional career and/or higher education by acquiring knowledge in mathematical, computing and engineering principles.

PEO 2: To develop the abilities to face the changing trends and career opportunities in computer application.

PEO 3: Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate professional excellence in academia and to develop software solutions for the IT related problems of the society and industry.

Department

With the boom in the field of Information Technology, software has become an essential part in the life of modern man. It being a course which emphasizes the software application side of computer education, the students passing out get vast innovative opportunities both within India and abroad. Our college started the first batch of MCA in October 2004. This course is the first PG course started in the college. With a group of acquiescent faculty members and state-of-the-art facilities, the college imparts profound knowledge in cutting edge technologies and is committed to create brilliant software professionals for the future.

Facilities

MCA is the first PG course offered in the college. This Two- year course offers a complete knowledge of computers with sound business and analytical skills, knowledge about data science, Cyber security and so on to meet the industrial needs. Students in the end of their courses become professionals in programming with good design skills and analytical skills which are required by the industry.

Regulations

This may be called the A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University Academic Regulations for B. Tech, 2019. These are subject to the provisions of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Act, 2015, the statutes and ordinances if any issued in the subject from time to time. It is the express understanding that these regulations are subject to the approval of the concerned statutory bodies of the University. These regulations shall be applicable for students admitted from 2019 onward.
