IEEE is an international technical organization of Electrical & Electronics Engineers. IEEE’s vision is to advance global prosperity by fostering technological innovations, enabling member careers and promoting community worldwide by providing latest information . IEEE Students chapter of AWH Engineering College started functioning on 17th June 2005. This was inaugurated by Dr. K P Mohandas, Professor of NIT ,Calicut . Dr Premkumar,Chairman IEEE Kerala student Activity Board and Prof. Sreeram Kumar,Department of Electrical Engineering NITC ,also attended the function. Zonal conference of Kerala section was held here and about 60 members from various colleges attended the two days program. The IEEE student’s chapter with around 40 above student members are actively involved in the same. Our students have been actively participating and organizing various events such as technical workshops through the IEEE student branch under IEEE Malabar section. A seminar session was conducted with the help of Industrial Relation Program in Technical Collaboration with IEEE Industrial Relation Committee and IEEE Malabar Subsection (INNOTECH). The resource person was Mr. Christo K Thomas, Design Engineer Intel, G.FAST Wired Modem Team. IEEE Student Branch of AWH Engineering College participated in a Quiz Contest for IEEE Student members organized by IEEE Kerala Section LINK on 6th October 2015. IEEE Student Branch of AWH Engineering College participated in a Quiz Contest for 1st year students organized by IEEE PES Kerala Chapter on 9th October 2015. 143 first year students of AWH Engineering College have participated in a quiz competition. The IEEE student branch of AWH Engineering College organized an IEEE Awareness program for 1st year students on 5th October 2015, as part of IEEE Day Celebrations around the world.
