UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan)

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a nationwide initiative by the Government of India aimed at transforming rural areas through the involvement of higher education institutions. The goal is to provide solutions to rural challenges by engaging students, faculty, and communities in developmental activities. At AWH Engineering College, we are committed to uplifting rural areas by focusing on technology, education, healthcare, and sustainability.
Our primary objectives under UBA include developing affordable technologies for rural needs, promoting digital literacy, providing skill development programs, and improving healthcare and sanitation. Students will work on projects like solar-powered devices, water purification systems, and sustainable farming techniques. Additionally, workshops on organic farming, sanitation, and health awareness will empower rural communities to improve their living conditions.
The college has adopted several nearby villages as part of its UBA initiative, where students actively engage in problem-solving. Activities include setting up learning centers, offering career guidance, and conducting health camps. We also emphasize women's empowerment through skill development programs, such as tailoring and entrepreneurship.
Through these efforts, AWH Engineering College aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural India, creating sustainable, long-term changes. Students will not only enhance their practical skills but also contribute to the socio-economic development of rural India, fostering an inclusive and self-sufficient future.
