DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING 

 

VISION  

To produce skilled and socially responsible Electronics and Communication Engineers.  

MISSION 

M1-To equip the students with technical and analytical knowledge for developing skilled engineers. 

M2- Create a framework for industry enabled environment to enhance professional practices. 

M3- Provide ethical and interpersonal opportunities to address societal and industrial needs. 

 

PROGRAM EDUCATION OBJECTIVES -(PEOs) 

Our graduates will be able to: 

PEO 1: Core Efficiency: Exhibit and adept in providing solution for problems in societies where they are employed. 

PEO 2: Professionalism: Contribute innovative and creative ideas for the problems and the projects they are involved in. 

PEO3: Technical accomplishment: Induce critical thinking with the awareness of recent and future technological developments to contribute effectively. 

PEO 4: Lifelong Learning: Exhibit successful professional skills through lifelong learning and contribute to the society.  

 

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES- (PSOs)  

Our graduates will be able to: 

PSO 1: Professional skills: Analyze, design, implement and test analog and digital electronic circuits, VLSI and embedded system applications, digital signal processing. 

PSO 2: Project Management: Demonstrate the acquired professional and competitive skills for career. 

PSO3: Engineering for Sustainability: Demonstrate ethical reasoning, creative problem-solving, economic analysis, and an understanding of sustainable engineering and the Indian Constitution to successfully tackle engineering and management challenges. 

      Electronics is the branch of study that has revolutionized the lifestyle of humanity. It is a pace setter and a prime mover behind the transition to a technological society. The field of Electronics and Communication Engineering encompasses all areas of human life. Radio, television, telephones, computers, automobiles, office machinery and house-hold appliances, life saving medical equipment and space vehicles represent a mere sample in the wide spectrum of the applications of Electronics. In the age of satellite transmitted television and transcontinental computer networks, the challenge and opportunities in this profession continue to mushroom. Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates have unlimited opportunities in the field of terrestrial and extraterrestrial communication systems like telephones, cellular phones, television, optical fiber communication, consumer and entertainment devices. Highly rewarding and greatly satisfying opportunities await the Electronics and Communication Engineers in the field of satellite space programs, embedded technologies etc.
