Regulations

This may be called the A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University Academic Regulations for B. Tech, 2019. These are subject to the provisions of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Act, 2015, the statutes and ordinances if any issued in the subject from time to time. It is the express understanding that these regulations are subject to the approval of the concerned statutory bodies of the University. AD DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION – ASSOCIATION OF INTELLIGENT MINDS (AIM )

The Association of Intelligent Minds (AIM) is the official student association of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at AWH Engineering College. Established in 2025, AIM serves as a dynamic platform that brings together students with a shared passion for Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies.

The Association of Intelligent Minds (AIM) serves as the official student body of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It promotes technical learning, innovation, research, leadership, and industry interaction through various academic and co-curricular activities.

Collaboration with Professional Bodies & Placement Cell

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science actively collaborates with the IEEE Student Branch, other professional bodies, and the Training & Placement Cell of AWH Engineering College to organize technical workshops, expert talks, coding competitions, career guidance sessions, placement training, and industry interaction programmes. These collaborations enhance students’ technical competence, professional skills, and employability while preparing them for higher studies and successful careers in AI and Data Science.

Major Activities & Events 

  • Since its inception, the Association of Intelligent Minds (AIM) has been actively organizing a variety of technical, academic, and skill-development programmes to foster innovation, practical learning, and professional growth among students. The association provides an engaging platform where students can explore emerging technologies, enhance their technical competencies, and develop leadership and teamwork skills through hands-on activities.
  • Formation of AIM Executive Committee & Logo Launch (September 2025)
  • The Department formally inaugurated the Association of Intelligent Minds (AIM) with the formation of its Executive Committee and the unveiling of the official association logo. The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of a vibrant student-led technical community dedicated to promoting Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Industry experts addressed the students on emerging AI technologies, ethical AI, and career opportunities, while the newly elected student executive committee was entrusted with organizing departmental activities throughout the academic year.
  • Workshop on Python for Machine Learning & AI (January 2026)
  • To strengthen students’ programming foundation, AIM organized a hands-on workshop on Python for Machine Learning and AI. The programme introduced participants to Python programming fundamentals, data analysis using NumPy and Pandas, and the basics of machine learning implementation. Conducted by an industry expert, the workshop bridged the gap between classroom learning and practical application, equipping students with essential programming skills for AI and Data Science.
  • Prompt War – Prompt Engineering Competition (February 2026)
  • Recognizing the growing importance of Generative AI, AIM organized Prompt War, a unique competition that challenged students to design effective prompts for AI systems. The event enhanced participants’ understanding of prompt engineering, creativity, and critical thinking while demonstrating how well-crafted prompts influence AI-generated outputs. The competition encouraged students to explore modern AI tools in an engaging and competitive environment.
  • Break the AI – AI Challenge Competition (February 2026)
  • Break the AI was an interactive technical competition designed to test participants’ analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts. Students competed by solving AI-based challenges and identifying the limitations of intelligent systems. The event promoted problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and healthy competition while creating greater awareness of AI technologies and their real-world applications.
  • Build a Bot – Don’t Code, Just Vibe! (February 2026)
  • One of AIM’s flagship events, Build a Bot – Don’t Code, Just Vibe!, introduced students to chatbot development using no-code and low-code platforms. Participants designed conversational AI solutions by learning chatbot architecture, intent recognition, and user interaction design without extensive programming. The event encouraged creativity, innovation, and practical application of AI concepts while showcasing how intelligent systems can be developed using modern development platforms.
  • Robo Bash – Bots in Action (February 2026)
  • As part of Athma 2026, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, through AIM, organized Robo Bash – Bots in Action, an interactive Robotics and AI Expo in collaboration with RobuVerse. The event showcased cutting-edge technologies including humanoid robots, interactive robots, 3D printing, Virtual Reality (VR), RFID-based assistive systems, and intelligent automation solutions. Through live demonstrations and hands-on interactions, students gained valuable exposure to real-world applications of robotics, AI, and smart technologies. The expo inspired innovation, enhanced technical awareness, and encouraged students to explore robotics-driven projects and emerging technologies for future careers.

Through these activities, AIM continues to create a dynamic learning ecosystem that nurtures technical excellence, innovation, research aptitude, industry readiness, and leadership among students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
